South African National Standard 10049:2019
This standard has recently been released in July 2019 after a major revision was conducted by an expert working group at the South African Bureau of Standards. It is the first part of implementing a food safety system and therefore focusses on Pre-Requisite Programmes. The standard has been written with sufficient detail to assist large and small businesses alike.
Both half-day and full-day courses are available depending on the depth of training required. Book a training session with Prof Anelich who has intimate knowledge of the standard as she was Chair of the SABS Committee during its revision.
Target audience
Any person involved in establishing, implementing and managing pre-requisite programmes in a food business as part of a food safety system.
